Riverbend in Zeitung, Blog und Fernsehen

Die Süddeutsche Zeitung schreibt heute im Feuilleton über ein Blog namens "riverbend". Den Text gibt's auch bei jetzt.de.
In Riverbend liest man einen haarsträubenden Bericht über eine Al-Dschasira-Reportage zu einer Vergewaltigung einer Irakerin durch irakische Sicherheitskräfte. Ein weiterer Text geht auf die Reaktion der irakischen Regierung dazu ein. Nur 14 Stunden nach Ausstrahlung des Fernseh-Interviews mit dem Opfer stellte der Regierungschef fest, dass die Vorwürfe erfunden seien, und belobigte die handelnden Sicherheitsleute:

Übrigens kann man bei Al Dschasira nachlesen, dass eine weitere Frau beklagt, von irakischen Polizisten vergewaltigt worden zu sein.
Al Dschasira bleibt beim Thema - eine für orientalische Zustände leider nicht alltägliche Beharrlichkeit.

Übel klingt auch das Fazit, das Riverbend zur amerikanischen Irak-Politik zieht:
